Bismarck

The area now known as Bismarck was founded in 1837 as a mill town, and had a population of 542 as of the 2000 census. Bismarck is a bedroom community to Danville that is known for its school system, the Bismarck-Henning Blue Devils.

Bismarck is located approximately 120 miles south of Chicago, 30 miles east of Champaign-Urbana (home to the University of Illinois), and 90 miles west of Indianapolis, Indiana. Interstate 74 runs through the south end of the city.
