Catlin
The village now known as Catlin was founded in 1820 as a farming community, and had a population of 2,087 as of the 2000 census. Catlin is a bedroom community located about 10 miles south of Danville that is known for its school system. Children in Catlin attend Salt Fork High School.
Catlin is located approximately 120 miles south of Chicago, 30 miles east of Champaign-Urbana (home to the University of Illinois), and 90 miles west of Indianapolis, Indiana.
