Rossville
The village of Rossville was founded in 1859, and had a population of 1,331 as of the 2000 census. Rossville is a bedroom community to Danville.
Rossville is located approximately 110 miles south of Chicago, 35 miles east of Champaign-Urbana (home to the University of Illinois), and 100 miles west of Indianapolis, Indiana. Illinois Route 1 provides access to Danville to the south. Rossville recently dissolved its high school, and students have the choice of attending either Bismarck-Henning, or Hoopeston.
