Westville

The village of Westville was founded in 1873 as a station on the Danville and Southwestern railroad, and had a population of 3,175 as of the 2000 census. Westville is a bedroom community to Danville that is known for its school system.

Westville is located approximately 130 miles south of Chicago, 30 miles east of Champaign-Urbana (home to the University of Illinois), and 90 miles west of Indianapolis, Indiana. Illinois Route 1 provides access to Danville to the north. Westville has its own elementary, middle, and high schools.
